Mirror, mirror on the wall, who has the truest heart of all? Well – this is the question that is asked in the next Veggietales episode from the studios of Big Idea called “Sweetpea Beauty – A Girl after God’s Own Heart”.
This new installment deals with a Lesson About True Beauty.
According to Big Idea The story goes like this . . .
“Once upon a time, there lived a royally sour blueberry, a fair rhubarb maiden
and a dastardly deceptive mirror! Sweetpea Beauty knows that what’s on the inside is what matters most, but insecure Queen Blueberry can’t see past her own reflection! So, when a decree is handed down that only the most beautiful can rule the land, the Queen gets nervous and things turn ugly! Banished to the dark forest, Sweetpea’s fate seems bleak until a charming prince, a band of merry minstrels and seven snow peas come to the rescue! Will Sweetpea and her friends be able to warn the Queen in time to save her from the clutches of the tricky mirror — or will the crumbling kingdom and the Queen’s own heart be lost forever? Find out in this fairy “Veggie” tale about the real meaning of true beauty”. Stay tuned for this new installment this summer!
Also on the new disk will be the new Silly Song is called “Pants” and I wonder if it will be able to top “The Hairbrush Song”? We’ll just have to wait and see.

It is going to be an exciting Fall this year! Because I am a VeggieTales fan and there is a HUGE new crop of Veggietales products that are arriving in time for the Fall harvest. Or plenty of time for all the birthdays, Harvest parties and Christmas.
Well – just arrived back from St. Louis. For some reason the song “nothing could be finer that (something in St.Louie). Sorry – I digress. Anyway – good news about Veggietales for all the Veggie fans around the world. Here is an overview of some of the new stuff from Bob and Larry. First and foremost the new fall episode is called “It’s a Meaningful Life” – a cross between a Wonderful Life meets Polar Express. Sounds and looks like it will be a great episode and the focus is a lesson in Courage.
So there is also new books, music, plush, Christmas, umbrellas, backpacks, photo frames, 2010 calendars, nativity playset, shoes, playground balls, puzzles and so much more. You can check it all out at Kidzonearth.com.
The biggest news of all ( in my opinion) is the return of the Larryboy Mobile! Yes the Larry Mobile is making a comeback!! Yah hoo. Check it out here and you can also pre order ( historically they go very fast). Pre Order Larry Mobile here
The Larryboy Mobile had all been retired last year with no clear hope of ever seeing this beloved toy on the shelve again. The beacon from Bumblyburg sent out a message of hope this past week. The Larryboy Mobile is coming back to KidzOnEarth.com! Yes indeed – this is true and we are excited for Larryboy fans everywhere.
Fans can pre order the Larryboy Mobile for a Fall / September ship date.
This thing is cool! The surf simulator was featured on Extreme Home Makeover in May of 2010 ( The Carr Family). Check out the Extreme Home Makeover Episode featuring the Surf Simulator. Bethany Hamilton was a guest as well in this episode. FYI – Bethany has a new movie coming to theaters soon called “Soul Surfer” ( Spring of 2011).
Anyway the description of the room from the ABC web site states the following.
“The Surfing Room — Paige decked out the walls and floors to make us feel like we’re in the ocean. Ryanne and Haydn even have a surfboard that links to a surfing game in their room. Hang ten, kids!”
The Surf Board reacts to the movement of the surfer as they cut back and forth ripping thru each wave into the barrel.
You can hire the Surf Simulator for events for churches, youth groups, trade shows, birthday parties and such. Pretty cool stuff!! You can surf, get your photo with the surf board and the locals.

Outreach Films announced the news about the hit movie – “To Save A Life”. The DVD and the Blue Ray version will be in stores on August 3rd, 2010. This film has had a tremendous impact on teenagers and youth groups across the country. This is a film for teenagers and is PG13.
Here is a testimony from a grandma.
“I went to this movie yesterday afternoon. I do not know when I have been as impacted by a movie. It hits us all, as we all know of someone in the situations these young people are in. I am a nearly 70 year old grandma, I know and love, and am passionate about many of these young teens, as they go to my church and are in my life. I want to see everyone go to this movie. I am going to go to Evangel Book Store today and get $50.00 worth of tickets to give to the kids I know so that none can say they could not afford to go.
Thank you so very much Paul for your efforts in getting this word out. It is about loving these kids where they live, now, not after they have been all washed and cleaned up. May the Lord bless you greatly, Keep up the good Godly work, I am praying for you and what you are doing…. Changing the World one young person at a time….”
Grandmother from Medford Oregon
So if you have a teenager in the house – this may be a great film to add to your collection. If you are a youth pastor and want to show the film to a group – the church site license is available now.
In my opinion “The Pistol” was and is one of the greatest – if not the most incredible basketball players of all time. For those of you who do not know who the “The Pistol” is – well I am talking about Pistol Pete Maravich.
Some may disagree with me – but go and look up some of the scoring records from college ball. Pete still holds some of the records ( before the 3 point line I might add).
Anyway – this is the movie about how Pete grew up and fell in love with basketball. The synopsis goes as follows;
They said he was too short. They said he was a misfit. They said he didn’t know how to play basketball. Pete Maravich knew better. His father had taught him that with discipline, dedication, desire and confidence, he could achieve any dream. Pete Maravich’s dream was to become one of basketball’s greatest players. The Pistol Birth of a Legend is the uplifting and inspirational story of how Pete Maravich started to make his dream come true. It was a dream that propelled him to become the youngest inductee into the Basketball Hall of Fame. Pete Maravich revolutionized the game of basketball. He showed how family, hard work, and a whole lot of heart could make anything possible.”
Check out the movie and if you can grab a copy make the purchase. It is a good movie!
